We are seeking a highly skilled Associate attorney with at least five years of substantive commercial litigation experience.  The ideal candidate is a strong writer, an analytical thinker, and a confident advocate.  They are comfortable managing cases from inception through trial or resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of commercial litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation.
  • Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other substantive filings
  • Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and clients
  • Manage case files and client communications efficiently and proactively
  • Supervise junior associates and paralegals as needed

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in Arizona
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting
  • Strong litigation skills, including drafting, discovery, and courtroom experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with business torts, breach of contract, shareholder disputes, and/or financial services litigation
  • Prior federal and/or state court clerkship (a plus but not required)
  • Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures

We are seeking a senior paralegal responsible for a variety of assignments, such as state and federal court filings, docketing, drafting pleadings and discovery, reviewing productions, preparing correspondence to clients and third-parties, word processing, and other paralegal support tasks.  The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload while supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including case intake, discovery, trial preparation, and appeals
  • Draft legal documents such as complaints, subpoenas, motions, and discovery requests/responses
  • Manage document production, including organizing and analyzing large volumes of documents
  • Maintain litigation calendars and track important deadlines
  • Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness lists
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case materials
  • File documents electronically with state and federal courts

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Professional demeanor
  • Familiar with project management strategies
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus
  • Thorough knowledge of PC applications, including MS Office
  • Advanced knowledge of legal software programs such as CLIO, Open Discovery, and TrialDirector

Experience

  • Civil Litigation: 5 years (required)
  • Appellate: 2 years (preferred)

  • 8 Hour Shift
  • Monday — Friday

Seeking a full-time Junior Paralegal to join our busy, fast-paced law firm in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate has tribal court, civil litigation, criminal, probate, or collections experience and has excellent communication and organizational skills.

As a Junior Paralegal, you will be responsible for a variety of assignments, such as:  state and federal court filings, tribal court filings, docketing, preparing correspondence to clients and third-parties, word processing, and other administrative support matters.
