Zwillinger Wulkan congratulates our associate, Shandiin Herrera for serving as a moderator at the 2026 Federal Bar Association Indian Law Conference.  Fed Bar is the leading conference for Indian Law practitioners.  Shandiin served as moderator for the “Attention to the Critical Role of Tribal Justice Systems” panel, which explored the critical role which Tribal Courts play in the exercise of self-governance, sovereignty, and the preservation of Native American culture.

“As both a practitioner of Indian law and a member of the Navajo Nation, it was an honor to facilitate this important conversation.  Tribal justice systems are not only foundational to tribal sovereignty, but they also offer innovative approaches to justice that can inform broader legal systems.”
