Five Food Labeling Tips for Clearer Communication with Consumers
Your product’s label is one of the first things consumers see.  Get back to basics with these five tips:


Food labels have been getting a lot of attention lately.  In addition to the Biden administration asking the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to consider putting food labels on the front of packaging, FDA also announced plans to crack down on how companies label their foods and products as healthy.

Another big change?  The Food Allergy Safety, Treatment, Education and Research Act (FASTER act) of 2021 makes it so that sesame is included in the list of major food allergens that are mandatory to disclose on labels.  The new rule goes into effect Jan. 1, 2023.

With all these potential changes, it’s a good time to think about how you’re displaying product information to your customers.
