Zwillinger Wulkan Secures Emergency Court Order Extending Voting Hours at Hardrock Chapter House for Navajo Nation Members
PHOENIX, ARIZONA
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Zwillinger Wulkan obtained emergency relief on Election Day on behalf of the Navajo Nation in Navajo Nation v. Marshall, et al. (Navajo County Superior Court, Case No. CV202600641). On November 3, 2026, the Court ordered Navajo County to keep the voting center at the Hardrock Chapter House on the Navajo Nation open until 8:00 p.m.
Arizona law requires polling sites to be open on Election Day from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Hardrock Chapter House voting center opened more than an hour late. The Navajo Nation sought emergency relief to ensure its members had the full opportunity to vote that Arizona law provides.
“Every Navajo Nation member deserves the full opportunity to vote that Arizona law promises. We are grateful to the Court for acting quickly to protect that right at Hardrock.”
